Congressman Tom Malinowski is perhaps more diplomat than he is politician. He has especially strong expertise and experience in foreign affairs, having served in the US State Department as Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, & Labor by President Obama. He also served as Director of Human Rights Watch, speechwriter for Secretaries of State Warren Christopher and Madeleine Albright, as well as a member of the Policy Planning Staff at the Department of State. He won election to Congress in 2018.
